The knockabout DJ Elephant Man (aka Energy God) was born O'Neil Bryan in 1974. Overly large ears as a nestling earned him the nickname "Dumbo Elephant" from his classmates in the Seaview Gardens area of Kingston, Jamaica. Shabba Ranks and Bounty Killer were Seaview residents at the time, and with King Jammy's studio non so far aside, Elephant Man had an early exposure to dancehall polish. While singing at the william Henry Gates of Ranks and Jammy's studios, Bounty Killer heard him and suggested forming a mathematical group with other Seaview teens. The radical was in the first place called the Seaview Family, but later on Bounty Killer had a massive hit with "Big Guns Scare Dem," the name changed to Scare Dem Crew. Scare Dem Crew only released one record album just played multiple festivals around Jamaica, giving Elephant Man a chance to refine his onstage persona. Dancehall night at 1998's Reggae Sumfest was a highlighting, with Elephant Man climbing up a goggle box photographic camera crane and delivering his energetic rhymes high higher up the audience.

The pillow of Scare Dem started to head the DJ's power to be a squad player and Elephant Man leftfield the mathematical group feeling disrespected. Solo, he was capable to incorporate the hip-hop rhythms he loved on his full-length debut, Comin' 4 You, released by Greensleeves in 2000. The title cut from his second release, Log On, was a immense hit and the album's WTC attacks commentary attracted a wealthiness of attending from the press. A duette with one of Elephant Man's ducky rappers, Busta Rhymes, appeared on a remix of Lil Jon's "Get Low," and Mariah Carey recruited the DJ for an appearance on her Charmbracelet record album. Atlantic Records took note of his ontogenesis popularity and released his major-label debut, Well 2 Go, in late 2003 patch his "Pon di River, Pon di Bank" single was taking urban radio by force.

George Michael - Michael Giving Up Touring Because Of Age

LATEST: Singer GEORGE MICHAEL has confirmed he is to retire from touring - because he feels too old to be a pop star.

The Fast Love hitmaker, 44, is set to take his 25 Live tour to America this month (Jun08), in what will be his first U.S. roadshow in 17 years, before returning to London for two major dates, named The Final Two, on 24 and 25 August (08).

Michael has assured fans he will not be quitting music altogether, but admits he will be seeking "a quieter life" away from the limelight.

He explains, "Mainly the reason (to stop touring) is because I'm 45 and I think pop music should be about youth culture. It shouldn't be an endurance test.

"If I can just live further from the spotlight I think that'll be better for all really."
